Act MAY Scanner data AR-ACT-03 AR-ACT-10

Why it matters

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) by Anthropic is the standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools and data. A discovery document lets AI systems find and connect to your MCP server. SEP-1649 (modelcontextprotocol PR 2127) defines the new server-card.json schema with serverInfo, transport, and capabilities fields.

How to fix it

Publish an MCP server card with serverInfo and a transport object.

  1. Create /.well-known/mcp/server-card.json with serverInfo.name and a transport.

    {
      "serverInfo": {"name": "Example MCP", "version": "1.0.0"},
      "transport": {"type": "streamable-http", "endpoint": "https://example.com/mcp"}
    }
  2. Link the MCP endpoint from llms.txt and the AI Catalog.

Verify

curl -sf https://{domain}/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json | jq -e '.serverInfo.name or .name'

Expected: exit code 0
